An island located approximately 16 miles from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Nantucket offers visitors a host of places and activities to enjoy. The following are just a few:

–Nantucket Shipwreck and Lifesaving Museum. This museum pays homage to those who have worked to save the lives of mariners who experienced shipwrecks over the years. In addition to offering ship models and paintings of the sea, the museum features films and family-friendly programs.

–The Old Mill. The only remaining smock mill in Nantucket, the Old Mill dates back to the 1700s. Visitors can visit the mill alone or as part of a package to see Nantucket’s other historic sites, including the Oldest House, Greater Light, Old Gaol, and the Fire Hose Cart House.

–Cisco Brewers. Nantucket’s lone brewery, Cisco Brewers began as a winery in 1981 and eventually expanded to make beer and spirits. The brewery also features an outdoor atmosphere area where visitors enjoy live music along with the local brews.

As the CEO of Primus Technologies Corporation, Chris Sullivan oversees an organization that strives to provide its employees with the best possible place to work. Under Chris Sullivan’s guidance, Primus Technologies has been ranked a number-one supplier by its corporate customers.

The company has a strong philanthropic giving program, and it has given $1.5 million St. John Neumann Regional Academy in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. A faith-based institution in the Catholic tradition, St. John Neumann offers preschool through 12th-grade instruction.

In addition to classroom time, the school provides extra-curricular activities, mostly related to academics:

The Academic Decathlon stimulates intellectual competition for grades 9-12 by organizing competitions in social science, economics, music, art, literature, and mathematics. Additionally, students take part in essay writing and public speaking events. School teams square off at the local, region, state, and national levels.

Odyssey of the Mind encourages creative strategies for solving problems. Students in grades 3-12 form teams of five to seven for competition at regional, state, and world events. St. John Neumann is one of the few schools that consistently send teams to the world finals, and it has one world championship to its credit.

Other organizations for student development include the National Honor Society, the Interscholastic Reading Team, and the Folk Group-Liturgical Ensemble, which provides music for religious services.
